Porgy, or Sea Bream, is native to the Atlantic Ocean, with our product wild caught locally in the Chesapeake Bay. A white, tender meat with mild, sweet flavors, similar to the taste of snapper. Porgies are a delicious sustainable option to add to your menus or retail cases – taking well to whole presentations.
People come to our restaurant because we don't cut corners and they know they will get fresh, local food - and Sam Rust is a big part of that.
